Jen's First Post

Hi Jen here, I have never worked on a Blog or even looked one up. I'm a complete newbie, but I will try my hardest. I'm excited to learn, and contribute to the team Blog without deleting anything;)). This is my second semester in the LIT program. There is so much to learn and catch up on in my twenty-five year absence from school. I added a link for a Blogging help book, a Blogging gadget recommendation site, and a news site.

Erika's First Post

Hello, fellow Lit130 students. My name is Erika and this is my first time using Blogger or any blogging site. I am hoping to gain a lot of experience from this new endeavor because I am working on a serial and would like to start publishing an episode a month.
I updated my profile to reflect my interests. Also, I have added two links: the first is to the Powtoon site and the second is to a youtube video on how to use Powtoon. Powtoon looks like an exciting way to create video content.

Laura's First Blog Change

Hi Teammates! Laura here. I've been a contributor on several art blogs that used Blogger, but it sure has been awhile. I'm happy to say that some of its functions are starting to come back to me. Phew!  I actually forgot how much fun this is; it's really great to be back in the Blogger saddle with all of you fellow LT130ers.  I have updated my profile as per our assignment and added the Google Translate gadget as my blog change.  I think adding a feature that can translate our posts from English to any language that the visitor chooses is really helpful to those who may not know English or not know English well.  I also think it's really exciting.  Why stay local when we can reach out to the world?!  Go team!

Robyn's First Update

Hi Everybody, My name is Robyn. This is the first time I have ever worked with a Blog. I hope to learn how to manage a Blog from this project. I just made a couple of changes to the Blog. I added a Followers gadget and Followers by email gadget. If everyone follows by email, I believe it will notify you when a post has been made to the Blog. I thought this would be helpful to know when changes are being made.  I also thought it would be nice to see who all was following the bog and help create a community here on LT130 Presentation tools. I also updated my profile as per instructions from Professor Morrow.

Hello fellow blog team mates! My name is Chris and this is my first time using Blogger.com.  I do have some experience using WordPress but that was several of years ago. I uploaded an image (illustration) that I think fits well with our blog theme. It is located in the Header area of the page.

Holly's Link Gadget Addition

Hello! My name is Holly and this is my first time ever creating or using a blog, but I have always enjoyed reading other people's blogs. I am so excited and eager to learn about blogs and how to set one up by using all the functions available. I was very nervous about this assignment at first, but it has turned into a fun, new adventure. So far, I have added the "Link List" gadget, along with the ALA link, Prezi link, and a link to a How to use Prezi: YouTube video. I enjoy looking at the different links listed on blogs because it allows users to look at other sites related to the blog. I think it will be a helpful tool with this blog because my group can add links to other sites that can give more detail on certain presentation tools for a library. I also updated my profile.

Brigitte Foisy's Blog Changes

Hi team! I just wanted to drop in and record my input for our blog thus far. Other than creating the blog, blog title & description, and author invites, I also changed the theme of our blog to have a "library" style background. I thought it would be fitting of this course:-) I think it is visually appealing as well. Looking forward to seeing what everyone else does! I really like Sarah's search bar as well:-)

Sarah's Intro

Hi everyone! My name is Sarah, this is my first time using any type of blogging program. It’s already a lot more detailed than I thought it would be. There are so many things you can edit and add! For now all I’ve done is add the “search this blog” gadget to the sidebar on the right hand side. I really like websites that allow you to narrow what you’re looking for, so that’s why I picked that particular gadget. I frequently get lost in websites trying to find the piece of information I need, and like to have a search bar, or use “Ctrl + F” to find exactly what I’m looking for.
